For a trouble-free Norton installation, you need to make sure that your system is compatible with the Norton Security product you have.
All Norton products work well with iOS 6 platforms or later; Android 2.3 or later (which have Google Play downloaded on it); all versions of Mac OS X; and Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1. Now, the issues with MS Windows 10 have been resolved too (with the help of a Norton’s patch version called 18.104.22.168).
Check the product manual that comes with your CD or one available online to see the minimum system requirements for each Norton product.
- Install the latest updates of the Operating System, and uninstall any conflicting programs present on your system. Any other antivirus software or an earlier version of the Norton product you have bought needs to be removed too.
- Check for the subscription validity, especially when you are buying it from a third party. Norton subscriptions are usually valid for one to three years. During this period, you get free program upgrades to keep your compute, smartphone, or gadget safe.
- Clear your temporary files and clear all programs.
Once you check all these things, you should not face any problems in Norton installation.
